Fees and Payment
The fees charged for basic services (e.g. examinations, hygiene appointments, restorations, most surgical procedures, etc.) are consistent with the current Ontario Dental Association Fee Guide. Note that this fee guide applies to all patients, whether they present with insurance coverage or not. While most fees are consistent with the current guide, there may be some exceptions where fees may differ. All fees are payable at the time of treatment. Payment options include VISA, Mastercard, American Express, debit, certified cheque and cash. 

Financial Policy
Please be advised that your dental insurance plan is a contract between you (or your employer) and the insurance company. Our role is to provide the diagnostic, preventive, therapeutic and restorative services that our patients require, and some of those necessary procedures may not be covered. We will submit all of the necessary claims directly to the insurance company on your behalf, usually electronically, and reimbursement, as outlined in your policy, will be sent directly to you. You are responsible for the entire office fee at the time of the appointment. In those instances where there may be an account balance, an interest rate of 2% per month (i.e. 24% per annum) will be applied to accounts that have been outstanding for more than 30 days.

Transferring from Another Office 
If your existing x-rays were taken within the last 12 months, we can arrange to have them sent to us. It will be necessary to sign a release form authorizing your previous dentist to forward these as well as other relevant records to our office.

Appointments
Our office will make every effort to contact you (usually 2 days in advance) to confirm a previously scheduled appointment. In some cases, patients may be unavailable to receive these confirmation calls. It is however, your responsibility to attend any appointment that has been reserved for you. To accommodate emergencies as well as patients who would prefer a sooner appointment, our office requires 2 business days notice to change or cancel an existing appointment. As this office time has been reserved for you, a charge will be applied for no shows or cancellations with insufficient notice.
